I was born in Chicago, Illinois. My first exposure to television and the camera lens was at the age of 14, when I learned the basics of television broadcasting through my local church. Already deeply influenced by musicianship from my family, it was no surprise to anyone that I became quickly immersed in the art of television and film.

Within a relatively short period of time, I was operating studio cameras, editing sound, and even editing three-quarter inch tape. My work was – of course – supervised, and just a few years into my training I began cutting commercials for cable television. This all happened before I turned 18.

Through a series of typical life changes, i.e., finishing high school, joining the service, and then coming out of the service not knowing what direction to head with my life, I eventually wound up in Oklahoma City, where I worked my way up through a few software companies in mid-level management. Even there, I found mySELF being drawn back and forth into projects that either involved sound or some form of artsy-production.

It was four years ago, when I finally jumped head-first into film and photography with the intention of just a side-business to give me something to do on the weekends. Little did I know, my side-business-enterprise quickly became a full time gig, and with no advertising I quickly found my calendar booked with special events to film. My company, Motion Picture Wedding became one of the most sought after production companies in southern California.

Through a series of creative risks, and some “work of fate/faith,” I networked with some great people along the way and began my dream of filming greater and greater events, outside of the wedding industry.

316FILMS is my dream come true.
